L10A Specifications
1941 Lockheed Electra 10A S/N1145 'Diego de Almagro', is making steady progress towards flying once again; check out our updates for the latest news on this ambitious and thorough restoration project.

In many countries, the Lockheed Electra played an important part in the early history of scheduled and company air travel, which we so easily take for granted today.

Famous figures such as Amelia Earhart are associated with the elegant L10, which was a substantial advancement in aviation technology and speed when it first came on the scene in the mid 1930's.

We hope you enjoy this web site.  If you have any items or information which you feel may be of benefit to the restoration project, please do not hesitate to contact us via the "For Sale & Wanted" or "Links & Contacts" pages.

News from the L10A hangar 27/06:

Steady progress is being made on the tail section, the new cabin door frame parts came in from Custom Metal Shaping and were carefully finished off, trimmed, trial fitted and have now been anodized and painted ready for final installation. The aft cabin bulkhead + door (normally aft wall of toilet) has been fully restored. The fuselage is now sporting shiny new roof and side skins, with the remaining skins being made while the structure is sorted out and new frames are installed.

News from the L10A hangar 25/04:

After a few months delay due to other commitments and building custom equipment, we are back onto the Electra with a vengeance and making solid progress.

The new aft fuselage frames are back from heat treatment and are being readied for fitting, replacement stringer channel is being made and various new skins have been made for the aft fuselage roof. The aft fuse is presently looking very bare, with various frames and the aft cabin bulkhead + door removed for restoration.

The new outboard undercarriage mounts are being readied for installation and as always, many 'mini projects' involving a multitude of detail items are also underway!
